Our Mission

To serve juvenile children of incarcerated parents by instructing those parents how to nurture their children while still in jail.

This mission is built on the foundational belief that children thrive when their parents thrive. We achieve this mission by:

  • Teaching incarcerated parents evidence-based parenting skills and strategies
  • Helping parents understand their relationship with the Triple C (Child, Caregiver, and Court) and the power their actions have to improve those relationships
  • Providing practical tools and concrete planning to help parents become positive influences in their children’s lives
  • Empowering parents to break generational cycles of trauma and incarceration

Our Mission in Action: We don’t just teach theory—we help parents develop actionable plans so that before leaving jail, they have immediate next steps to improve their children’s lives. Through our comprehensive program, participants design decision-making frameworks that specifically distance them from unhealthy circumstances and create pathways for nurturing their children far into the future.

The mission encapsulates our core belief that incarceration doesn’t disqualify someone from being a good parent, and that with the right education and support, incarcerated parents can become powerful forces for positive change in their children’s lives.

Our Vision

Creating Ripple Effects of Positive Change

We envision a world where every incarcerated parent becomes a force for positive change in their child’s life. Through Triple C and Me, each participant has the potential to:

  • Strengthen their parent-child relationship
  • Strengthen their family unit
  • Strengthen their community
  • Contribute to a more just and compassionate society

Empowering Agency Within Constraints

We see incarcerated parents not as victims of circumstance, but as individuals with the power to make meaningful choices that shape their children’s futures, even from within the constraints of the justice system.

Building New Familiar

Our vision is that participants will develop healthy patterns of thinking, responding, and relating that become their “new familiar”—automatic responses that serve their families well long after their release.

This philosophy and vision reflect the belief that transformation is possible, that parents matter regardless of their circumstances, and that strategic intervention can break cycles that have persisted for generations.

Our Community and Our Society’s Children Deserve the Best
